Patent Information

Ore-Max engineering is protected by issued and pending intellectual property covering emitter geometry, drip-line construction, and filtration systems built specifically for heap leach mining.

Effective: May 11, 2026

The Max-Emitter family and related Ore-Max products are the result of decades of focused R&D on flow physics, plug resistance, and field reliability under aggressive leach chemistry. Several of these technologies are protected by issued patents, design registrations, and trade dress rights in the United States and other jurisdictions where Ore-Max ships product.

This page summarizes the categories of intellectual property covering Ore-Max products. For specific patent numbers, claim language, licensing inquiries, or notices required for product packaging and technical literature, contact the Ore-Max engineering team.

Patents

Patented Technologies

Each Ore-Max product line builds on a focused set of inventions developed for heap leach service. The categories below summarize the technology áreas currently protected by issued or pending patents.

Max-Emitterline

Max-Emitter Flow-Path Geometry

Internal turbulent-flow channel geometry that maintains predictable discharge while reducing the suspended-solid plugging modes that limit conventional agricultural emitters in heap leach service.

Max-Emitterline

Max-Emitter Drip-Line Construction

Drip-line wall, weld pattern, and emitter-spacing methodology engineered for the temperature, UV exposure, and chemistry profile of long-duration heap leach pads.

Ore-Max Filters

Tornado Filter Solids-Separation System

Cyclonic pre-filtration architecture for heap leach distribution systems that drops suspended solids upstream of emitter manifolds and extends emitter service life in high-particulate service.

Engineered Systems

Heap Leach System Design Methodology

Trade-dress and proprietary design conventions for laying out Ore-Max emitterline, lay-flat, pressure regulators, and headers across heap leach pads to deliver uniform application under realistic mine-site operating envelopes.

Context

Why this matters on a leach pad

Heap leach irrigation looks like agricultural drip from a distance, but the duty cycle, chemistry, and consequences of plugging are fundamentally different. A clogged emitter on a row crop drops a tomato yield. A clogged emitter on a copper or gold pad strands metal in ore.

The technology protected by these patents is what lets Ore-Max emitters keep flowing predictably under the worst of those conditions — saturated solutions, fine suspended solids, long unattended runtimes, and aggressive UV exposure. The IP exists because the engineering does.
