Overview
Ore-Max tensiometers are used to measure soil water tension in centibars so operators can monitor heap leach pad moisture and adjust solution application before over-saturation occurs.
The standard ORTN instrument is a 36-inch tensiometer with a hermetically sealed 0-100 cb (kPa) gauge, large reservoir, air-free gauge design, and fixed white ceramic tip.
The ORTK service kit is used to evacuate entrapped air from the tensiometer body to maintain accuracy and response time. One kit is required for up to 50 tensiometers.
